Our team
Bringing excellence to your home
Our team includes 200 experienced, trained caregivers, managed by office professionals with a combined 100+ years of healthcare experience. Our caregivers are totally committed, highly qualified, and carefully selected individuals who are thoroughly screened, background checked, bonded, and insured.
Our team of professionals also include client service managers providing continued support and communication to the client, their family and our caregivers. They will manage, coordinate and communicate all schedule needs and changes, ensuring the client is receiving the type and amount of care personalized for them. They are the primary contact for all of your needs.

President & CEO
Mary Claire Pellegrini
Mary Claire Pellegrini, R.N., opened AMERICARE Home Solutions in 2015 as President and CEO. She is responsible for leading the organization’s ongoing growth and quality initiatives, with an emphasis on delivering compassionate, personalized, patient-centered care. Under Mary Claire’s leadership, (as a provider of home care services in northeastern PA), AMERICARE has successfully provided care to more than 500 clients. She is a health care executive with more than 40 years of diverse experience in healthcare services and clinical settings, including Intensive Care and Home Health Care environments. Prior to opening AMERICARE Home Solutions, Mary Claire worked as an Area Director at Bayada Home Health Care, a Clinical Manager at Erwine Home Health and a Clinical Manager at Heartland Home Health. She worked more than 20 years as an ICU nurse at Mercy/Regional Hospital, Scranton, PA. Mary Claire has devoted her career to caring for our most vulnerable population. Mary Claire received her nursing education at Mercy Hospital School of Nursing and University of Scranton, Scranton, PA.
Director
Maria Vital
Maria Vital, Ph.D. serves as Director of AMERICARE Home Solutions. Prior to joining the AMERICARE staff, Dr. Vital held a number of positions in the healthcare industry. She earned a doctor of philosophy degree in leadership and administration concentration in health promotion, a master of science degree in health care administration (MHA); a master of science degree in foreign trade (MBA), and a bachelor of science degree in international relations. In addition, she has completed a variety of continuing education courses in healthcare, language arts, information technology, foreign business, finance and operations. Fluent in five languages, she has developed a strong rapport with the diverse Lackawanna and Luzerne area population. Dr. Vital is an active community volunteer who often provides pro bono translation services in health care, community and legal settings.
