AMERICARE has been privileged to provide service for over 500 clients in northeastern Pennsylvania, allowing them to be safely cared for in their homes. We provide experienced, trained caregivers to assist seniors and disabled clients with activities of daily living.

Is home care right for your loved one?

The aim of home care is to allow seniors to remain cared for in the comfort of their home rather than enter an assisted living community, nursing home or other type of senior care. We help families by taking time to understand their loved one’s needs and customizing a care solution that is right for them.

Home care services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week and can be paid for directly by the client or through a variety of public and private funding sources such as:

How we can help you

Personal Care

We assist with daily personal activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming and hygiene assistance.

Companionship

We provide companionship and emotional support to those who are in need of interaction. We can also accompany to appointments and assist with activities.

Light Housekeeping

We provide light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry, washing dishes, and tidying of living spaces.

Meal Preparation

We assist with meal preparation and feeding if needed. We make sure that our clients have access to healthy meals.

Grocery Shopping / Errands

We can make sure that our clients have the items they need the most, within their homes.

Safety & Hospital Prevention

We provide hospital prevention by creating a safe environment for our clients to be able to live at home. We assist with ambulation and wheelchair transfers, and provide supervision for someone with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease.
